I have been traveling since I was 17 when I visited Honduras and have always looked for ways to deepen my connection to the places I visit. I taught English in China for one year and South Korea for three years, before moving back to my hometown of Chicago where I taught writing at DePaul University. For the past three years, I have been teaching English online and moving to a new country every week or month, so I have stayed in many people's homes, mostly through Airbnb. I publish a podcast of travel stories based on interviews that I conduct with the people I meet while traveling. It's called The Observer Effect (http://www.observereffectpodcast.com).
