I adore all animals but dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs are my favourite. I have two tabby cats, a rabbit, a golden retriever dog and a puppy at home, and I do regular pet-sitting for friends and family, as well as for HOUSESITTERSUK. I'm a quiet, tidy, affable person, and I'm absolutely reliable and trustworthy. I will give your pet all the attention it needs. My work background has been as a journalist, largely as a travel writer, photographer and radio broadcaster. I am also the author of Japan on Foot, which is about a 7,500 kilometre "roving reporter" walk I made through Japan. These days, however, I enjoy a more relaxed pace of life, having semi-retired since returning to the UK after 30 years abroad. I still write and take photographs but I also make some of my living as a carer for elderly people. Yes, I like caring for people too.
