My childhood friend Kathleen & I housesat for a couple with 3 dogs in the south of France, October 2017, through Nomador. It was a wonderful experience. We ended up doing 2 pet sits in England, September 2022 and have booked another in Scotland for October 2023 through Trusted Housesitters.
I am a retired Protestant Pastor and my friend Kathleen is a retired Social Worker. We love to travel - but not to tourist spots. We love pets - have always had our own, but are fortunate to have friends who pet sit for us when we're out of town. I currently have a Shetland sheepdog. Kathleen currently has a rescue dog and a pair of cats.
Since retiring 5 years ago, I have volunteered at state parks in New York, Texas and California, and l worked at Yellowstone National Park in 2019. Since 2015, I've visited Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Martinique, Costa Rica, Azores, Ireland, Corfu, Nova Scotia, Hawaii & Alaska - solo trips or sometimes with a daughter or my friend. Trip Advisor & Google claim I have over 80,000 readers for reviews I've written. In the U.S. I have lived in 11 states, and visited all but 1 other state. In 2021 I finally got grandchildren, one on each Coast, but still want to travel other places.
I am fully vaccinated against Covid (total 5 with booster shots). I mask indoors in public & so far haven't caught Covid.
