We are Tracey and Paul, we have been house and pet sitting full time now for 5 years. I, Tracey retired from my job as a PA for a large logistics company. I am 55 and always wanted to work with animals, but this dream unfortunately was never fulfilled. So now I have the time, I am able to take advantage of my love for animals and people. Paul is 61 and took early retirement in 2014 from his job as a Technical Director within the Audio Electronics Industry. So we are both looking for new and interesting challenges where we can both work together, as we do this very well. We have a wide range of experience looking after pets including fish, cats, dogs, horses, ponies, pigs, sheep, chickens, geese, hens and alpacas. We also enjoy gardening and have looked after vegetable patches, allotments and gardens for people. We also have some experience looking after swimming pools and hot tubs. We both have the upmost respect for people’s homes and pets and always look after both as if they were our own. We are meticulous with household duties and cleaning, security conscious and totally confidential. We have looked after many different homes from country estates to farms, in built up areas, town centres, farms in the middle of nowhere and homes in heritage sites, with no neighbours for miles. We enjoy the diversity of this job as no two house/pet sits are the same. We are happy to do short or long term sits and will always try to fit in to suit your needs. We are very flexible, both drive and have our own transport. We do not smoke and only drink the odd glass of wine socially. We also have a vegetarian diet. Both of us have a good sense of humour and can relate to people on all levels. We just love helping and meeting new people and have a very hands on approach, with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Our glass is always half full! We both love walking, keeping fit, gardening, DIY, reading and also enjoy cooking. Paul is excellent at DIY (having renovated several properties) and can put his hand to most things. He has just completed a 60ft narrow boat which he built from a steel hull and has a good knowledge of anything mechanical or electrical. We have no children at home as they are now grown up and have fled the nest and we do not have any pets either. We are UK Citizens and CRB enhanced police checked.
