We are Amanda and Ivan Barker, a British, married, professional couple. We are both 65 (but good for our age), well educated, responsible and respectful, and completely financially independent. We work professionally online and therefore could base ourselves anywhere in the world that has a reliable high speed internet connection.
We currently have a spare couple of years with no commitments in the UK (2024 until early 2027, whilst our investments mature) and we would consider any house sitting opportunities, anywhere in the world.
We both have a love of animals and have experience of owning dogs, cats and chickens and would be happy to look after, feed and exercise them as necessary.
Ivan - a musician comes from a construction background and especially enjoys working with wood. He has lived and worked in several different countries for many years and speaks fluent Spanish as well as reasonable French. He is a very strong and capable person who could take care of any gardening, pool and property maintenance. Fit and well and vegetarian, he has a cheery personality, loves an adventure, travel, meeting new people and walking in nature.
Amanda - a Consultant Psychologist retired from the NHS executive, now offers internet-based psychological services. In addition, she is Managing Director of a family-run property development company. Fit and well, she loves culture, outdoor pursuits, anthropology, theatre, exploring the world, wild spaces and nature. A life long vegetarian and adventurer, with a good natured, positive outlook on life she enjoys new vistas and scenery.
