En couple/duo
Hi everyone!
We are Jacki and Aaron, a triple-vaxxed, 30-something international couple. Jacki is a writer, originally from the US. Aaron is a librarian, originally from Northern Ireland.
Both of us have plenty of experience with house and petsitting. We have been using housesitting platforms like Nomador since 2019. Jacki has done a number of long term housesits in the US for both cats and dogs since 2015 and also gained experience caring for more exotic animals during her time as a zoo educator from 2007-2019. Aaron's experience before 2019 was mostly through exchanges like Workaway and included animal care, general construction, and maintenance. He has also worked in a cattery and is very comfortable with cats.
Jacki is also an avid gardener with experience maintaining houseplants, raised vegetable gardens, and more. She is actively learning about homesteading.
Whether at home or traveling, we both enjoy being outdoors exploring whatever place we're in. Jacki is also a writer and enjoys all things creative including painting, sketching, photography, stand up comedy and music. Aaron enjoys playing guitar, reading a good book, and sampling local craft beer.
When traveling, we seek pedestrian-friendly places with lots of nature, culture and food!
In addition to general animal care, we are also available to help with landscaping, pool/hot tub maintenance, contractor liaising, and vacation rental management.
In addition to English, we both have a little French and German, and Jacki has a little Italian and Spanish.

Jacki and Aaron were amazing cat-sitter, they sent us pictures of our cats daily and the communication about everything else has just been perfect. Cats just love them, even the shyer ones. When we came back we felt like we just went out for some shopping instead that for a month-long holiday: everything was clean, put away and the cats have definitely been given a lot of love and attention. Even the plants survived well the hotness of summer. Amazing experience!

We very much enjoyed having Jacki and Aaron stay for three long months in our home in San Francisco. They were excellent house/cat sitters. We have two elderly cats, both of whom require special attention (one hardly eats and the other is a glutton). Jacki and Aaron were able to keep both cats properly fed and happy. Indeed, both cats ignored us when we came home, opting to spend lap time with them instead of with us. Jackie and Aaron also did a wonderful job maintaining the garden and flowers: when we arrived home everything was in full bloom and looked wonderful. As with any long sit, some issues came up (toilet stopped working correctly, water fountain was attacked and broken by raccoons), and they dealt with all problems effectively and without complaint. We hope they will come back again in the future!

Jacki and Aaron were thoughtful and considerate. They communicated with us about Marcel pretty frequently. If anything happened out of the ordinary, they always checked with us to see that everything was OK. We really trusted them. When we came back home, the apartment was clean and tidy. They respected our home and our awesome kitty cat. Thanks! 🐱
