We have 2 wonderful cats who love to be around people and give hugs when they feel like it. So it would be crucial that you like cats. Apart from that, we have some house plants that need weekly watering and also the plants in the garden might need some water (depending on the outside weather). Lastly: we are not super tidy (we have a lot of toys) but we like that the house is clean. There is a cleaning lady that comes weakly, so that helps 😉.

We love to go to the beautiful park nearby and there are some lovely restaurants and pubs closeby. We live in a one-way street and we have a small garden so it's not very noisy and you can hear the birds sing, but on the other hand we're in Brussels and the city center is 15 min away with public transport. The best of both worlds!

Belgium is quite a small country and we live in a central place. So if you want to go to the beach or the Ardennes: both are quite closeby (max 1,5h drive). We have interesting, beautiful cities and a lot of cultural heritage. During summer, there is a festival somewhere closeby every weekend. And there always is something to do in Brussels. If you don't want to move around: our house is a safe heaven with a lovely little garden, our small paradise.
