Stella is a 3 yr old blue heeler. She is very sweet. As an energetic breed, she needs walking twice a day which can be on the property, she loves to fetch. She comes into the house at dusk and will sleep in the house. She gets fed 2x day. Two rabbits need feeding and water 2x daily. A few plants on the porch and inside the house will need watering every 3-4 days. A housekeeper comes to clean 1x per week and a gardener works 1x per week.

We also have a range of musical instruments: keyboard, ukelele, african drums, harmonium.. For damp days/evenings, there is a fireplace in the living room that can be fired up. There are also many books (novels, reference, etc) to browse and Netflix available.. Hammocks and porch swing on outside terrace as well as outdoors terrace furniture.

Our house and property is located in a community of other property owners and a hotel/restaurant down the road. It overlooks a pasture & jungle and lake Arenal (plus 3 volcanos on a clear day). We have a big garden with a variety of flowers, citrus trees, bananas.. also monkeys, toucans and many other birds and wildlife inhabit the environment. We spend a lot of time outdoors, gardening, walking or relaxing on one of the porch hammocks. The vibe is very tranquilo!

Some of the outdoor activities available in our region include: boating, kayaking or sailing on the lake, visiting the hot springs, waterfall hikes, horseback riding on beautiful farms, eco tours to see wildlife, and trips further afield. Our town (12 mins drive) is quaint and has many amenities as in supermarkets, coffee shops, ice cream parlor, park with kids playground and cathedral, banks, post office, pharmacies, hospital clinic etc...The international Liberia Airport (LIR) is 1 hr 15 mins away. I would advise getting a vehicle unless you don't mind taking taxis or public transportation everywhere, which might end up being more economical in the long run.

Ginny and Ed were incredible hosts, and I honestly can't describe how special my time with them was. They are incredibly caring, full of positive energy, and such fascinating individuals! During their holiday I had the pleasure of looking after their sweet dog Stella, and Blackie, while sharing that paradise with playful wild monkeys and adorable toucans in their colorful tropical garden. Thanks to Ginny, Ed, and their nearby family, I got a deeper connection to the local community, enjoying unforgettable experiences like horseback riding, an adventurous jungle trip, and even getting a fantastic haircut from a local lady! It was incredibly hard to leave this paradise filled with love, joy, and happiness. I truly miss them all and, from the bottom of my heart, wish them endless blessings. I hope our paths cross again one day. Much love from Europe, guys!!! <3

Virginia and her partner Ed were excellent house sitters. They took care of Tilly, the dog, and walked her frequently, and informed me regularly about anything important, like the weather, which was acting up a bit. As often happens, we had interesting conversations before and after. I would recommend them highly.
