We have 3 dogs, small-medium sized who only need to be fed 2x/day, as with our cats, all very self-sufficient otherwise. There are a huge amount of edible and medicinal plants and fruit trees, but these only need to be tended-to (weeded) if you are personally interested in doing so. There are various trails and paths all around the jungle & farm, but only the main walking path needs to be raked for your own comfort. There is some chopping (with a machete) that needs to be done to keep some areas around the edges of the property maintained, perhaps a few hours per month.

This is a long-term stay. We require house-sitters to arrive sometime between now and this summer, but by July or August at the latest. We prefer some overlap with you this summer so that we can introduce you to the farm, the area, the plants, the animals, and get you comfortable in your new nature surroundings.

Sustainably-built completely off-grid home in the midst of the jungle surrounded by pure nature with only an incredible multitude of wildlife as your neighbours. The main house itself is all earthen construction on the lower floor and 4-bedrooms on the upper floor. Our jungle farm is a 4-ha/10-acre space of absolute peace and tranquility loaded with over 200 varieties of fruit trees and medicinal plants, over 1,000 cacao trees, trails & paths, pure jungle and amazing ocean views.

We are completely off-grid and self-sustainable. There is electricity though limited, and very good signal for your own phone or internet connection. This is a place of absolute nature-immersion, peace and relaxation. Monkeys, sloths, huge amounts of birds and more surround the home on a daily basis, with even more wildlife all around. Even though we are completely in pure nature, we are still very close to loads of beautiful beaches, local & tourist towns, and many tourist attractions. A bus passes 1-2times per hour at only a 10-minute walk away. We are located directly across the street from Cahuita National Park. The low-key town of Cahuita is less than 10-minutes away by bus, a major grocery store also less than 10-minutes away, the tourist town of Puerto Viejo a 15-minute bus ride away, and then more sites like waterfalls, towns, beaches, beaches and beaches in a 30-40minute radius.

Loads and loads of beaches, mountain hiking right in our "backyard", jungles and forests to explore on and around the property, tourist towns with all the activities and restaurants that they bring very close by, many nearby waterfalls, accessible National Park across the street, surfers paradise, snorkeling... sloths, monkeys, toucans, parrots and so much more to be seen right from the patios and beyond : )
