We have a West Highland White Terrier, his name is Ralph, he likes to be walked twice a day and will sleep under the desk in the living area. The walks don't have to be long as there is plenty of room in the garden at home for him to run around. The chickens will also need feeding once a day. There will be lots of eggs to enjoy!

The house is in a lovely quiet village with a fabulous, friendly pub. In the adjacent village 2km away there are shops, a cafe, pubs, restaurant, pharmacy, doctors, buses. The university City of Cambridge is a 15 min drive away. Our house is comfortable, easy to maintain and cosy with its wood fire burner.

There is much to keep you occupied in Cambridge: colleges, museums, historic buildings, shopping, nightlife, walking. There are some beautiful National Trust properties in the surrounding areas too: Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Hall, Wicken Fen being the most local. The beautiful North Norfolk coast is a 75 min drive away.

Dogsitting for Nicole and Alexis was a real pleasure. Their dog was ! friendly, affectionate and so funny ! Never known a dog so interested in watching TV with humans. He made me laugh ! Nicole & Alex's house is a comfortable modern bungalow with a big garden in a very quiet rural aera. Many buses run to Cambridge from Cottenham, a very close and bigger village than Rampton where they live. They also texted me very often and were quick to reply if I had a question. Furthermore, Nicole's mum was very available and generous. She brought me dinner 3 times during my short stay, walked her dog with Ralph and me once and even drove me to Ely to visit the cathedral ! I was blessed to meet such nice and interesting people !

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Nicole et Alexis. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez eux; leur maison et leur village sont très agréables et propices au repos , tout en étant à proximité de la très belle ville de Cambridge. Leur chien, Ralph est extra, facile à garder, affectueux et drôle! Encore merci pour cette belle expérience.

House sitting for Nicole and Alex’s dog Ralph and looking after their property was such a pleasure and a privilege. They gave me such a warm welcome and went to great lengths to make sure I would be comfortable during my two weeks stay and provided clear instructions on all relevant subjects. Furthermore they were always available and very responsive when I texted them news or questions. Ralph was very sweet and affectionate company and easy to care for. Nicole and Alex are blessed to live in a nice and comfortable bungalow with a fabulous garden in the most beautiful rural area, just outside of lovely Cambridge. Thanks for this rare opportunity and I look forward to a continuing friendship.
