We have a mid-long haired cat who can come and go through his cat flap during the day but it must be locked at night. Even though he has free roam of the garden, he continues to prefer his litter box and i'm afraid this would need to be emptied regularly. The cat usually sleeps wherever he wants downstairs then may amble upstairs to demand his breakfast. You are free to use the timed cat feeder instead! He will have wet food breakfast and dinner and some biscuits and water left out. The lawn would need to be mowed if needed and the garden watered. There are a few house plants that would require watering also. We have two wheelie bins tied up to the house. The road gets very windy and its essential to please keep these secured especially after the bin men have been. The bins would need to be taken out weekly, a schedule will be on the fridge.

Deal is a lovely seaside town with many good pubs and restaurants. If you don't fancy spending lazy garden days with our four burner BBQ and wrestling the cat in the garden, you can amble into town for the weekly market, have a brisk walk along the sea front to the Zetland Arms in Kingsdown or take the bus to Sandwich or Dover. We are blessed with two castles in Deal, there's also the neighbouring town of Walmer or the village of sholden, each boasting their own cool pubs. Deal train station is just in town, 20 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride, right next to Sainsburys. The house itself is quiet, there is a school just down the road so the street can be noisy during school run. The road is a wind tunnel at times so take care to keep the bins tied up.

Great experience in the company of Simba. He is an adorable, gentle cat, independent, but at the same time has always made sure that I did not feel lonely and bored☺️. He loved to be close to everything I was doing and gave a lot of cuddles, specially in the mornings and evenings. Simba enjoys to go in the garden, but returns quickly back in the house, if he hears his name. He is an amazingly skilled soccer player and it was a real fun to play with him. Always well-behaved, never mischievous, so taking care of Simba was just a pleasure and joy. The house is comfortable, tastefully decorated and easy to take care of. The garden is just beautiful, full of flowers and all kinds of plants. Many thanks to Mandy for her warm welcome, her generosity and kindness.
