Our 2 kittens, Laëti and Shah, will be 4 months old at Christmas, therefore we d like them to have company while we are away, hence the decision to join the Nomador community. They mainly eat dry food so they are easy to look after. We only give them wet food once in a while as a treat. They are not going outside, therefore you would need to make sure they do not escape. Their litter box would need to be regularly emptied and cleaned.

This is the period when we will be away in France to spend time with our families for Christmas. We are are happy to consider dates within this period and ask a friend or another professional to fill any gaps. We would like to meet the cat sitter before they start so that we get to know one another.

The flat is bright, airy and spacious with period features such as the staircase and high ceilings. The neighbourhood is friendly, the area is quiet. There are a number of small grocery shops in the area, the nearest is at 3 mins walk, and there is also a nice coffee shop, Cafe Yolk! Reading Town centre is at 25 mins walk, where you ll find all sort of restaurants, shops and shopping malls.

Reading dates back to medieval times, shaped by the River Thames and Kennet that encircle the town centre. As well as Reading Abbey Ruins, there is lots more heritage to enjoy in the town’s wonderful Georgian and Victorian buildings. Being a University town, Reading is vibrant, multicultural and has a very lively atmosphere. It also provides opportunities for watersports, boat trips and riverside dining. Everything is walkable – the town centre, access to the river, the Abbey Quarter district and the modern railway station. Reading is one of UK’s best-connected destinations, which makes it a great base for exploring the Great West Way, the Chilterns, Silchester Roman City walls, the Thames Path or nearby London, Windsor, Henley or Oxford. Martine and Thierry have really given us a warm welcome, making us feel at home during our winter stay in Reading. We have fondly enjoyed watching over Shah and Laeti who are very sociable, endearing kittens that are a pleasure to spend time with. Ample information was given to us about the organisation of the flat, and regular friendly contact helped work out details whenever any questions arose. Without exaggeration, I would say that Martine and Thierry are pleasant people to get to know.
