Hello! I am a world traveler, animal and nature lover, humanitarian, writer and foodie. I have devoted my life to raising my 2 children who are now launched on their own and so the world is beckoning me to explore again. I have spent the last few years traveling to and from Greece to volunteer with refugee mothers and babies. I have worked as an assistant midwife, birth doula, herbalist, lactation counselor and craniosacral therapist. I was fortunate to have lived for 7 years in a beautiful spiritual community surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest and an organic farm. The buildings we inhabited were original 1800's Shaker buildings and so I am familiar with historic homes. I also owned my own home previously and so am experienced in caring properly for them. I am a person of great integrity, compassion and dedication to any task I commit to. I have a deep connection to all creatures big and small and have a special sensitivity for them. I have lovingly raised 4 large and one medium breed dogs and several cats. Nearly all of them were rescues, some came in bad shape and were rehabilitated by me. I go for long walks every day and very much miss sharing these with a canine companion. I worked at Camp Unleashed (a camp for dogs and their people), helping humans and canines discover the joys of kayaking together. Once again we were so lucky to have found a great house sitter for the Christmas period via nomador. Cari looked marvelously after our animals, prepared even a daily meal for our dog even though they were quite restless at night. We are very greatful as she allowed us to spend wonderful vacations in Germany. We invited her to come a couple of days earlier to get to know each other which turned out to be a good decision. We could chat about our similar values and Cari always had some kind attention towards our little daughter playing around. The house was neat and tidy when we got back. We were also welcomed back with a delicious dinner which was so helpful after the journey. So you should you need someone to stay at your house, do not hesitate to make the arrangements with Cari who is very trustworthy and animal loving. All the best for her future projets but we keep in touch anyway ????
