I have plenty of experience with looking after pets in the UK but I also like to travel and discover different cultures. I speak fluent German and am currently learning French. I have a rapport with animals and enjoy their company. I am always asked to look after people's animals again and I always leave the house as tidy as I found it.
In 2013 I travelled to Crete, where I looked after 12 semi-feral Greek cats. At their meal times this number would sometimes double! I consider myself a very reliable person and can provide references from people whose animals I have cared for. I am a strong supporter of animal welfare and would pay a lot of attention to any animal in my care - including the administration of any medicines etc. In fact, friends always ask me to pet-sit because the know I'll spend a lot of time playing with their animals.
Je m'occupe souvent des quatre chats d'un ami: un chat normal, un chat semi-sauvage et deux chats de sauvetage récents - une mère et une fille. L'heure des repas est un art car ce sont des individus terratoriaux.
I am a non-smoker and I keep myself fit and healthy by walking, cycling, swimming in the sea and attending aerial hoop classes. I am in the fortunate position of having free time for pet-sitting and I am very flexible with dates. It's just a short ferry crossing from Portsmouth (where I live) to France, where I would travel onward by train.
