I’m Australian and have recently retired so I can spend more time travelling with my partner Larry. I was a Professor of Management at an Australian university. My partner Larry is Canadian/Australian and a retired educator. Larry is also a Cordon Bleu trained cook and landscape gardener, and has built two houses. Our own homes have included two owner-built houses on acreage and remodelling others; inner city townhouses, plus owning and maintaining land. We have both travelled extensively over the decades. Wherever we stay or housesit, we like to offer more than just our company or what was requested: in addition to pet sitting we can take care of your garden, do basic maintenance jobs, and keep your neighbours happy with our presence.
We enjoy travelling, meeting people and immersing ourselves like a local; and housesitting gives us that opportunity. We both study and read a lot (writing, gastronomy, history, languages etc) and staying in a home environment allows us to do this in comfort, whilst enjoying the company of affectionate pets who are missing their family. We also enjoy gardening and this is another reason why housesitting suits our lifestyle.
We have experience house and pet sitting (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chickens, sheep, fish) in France, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
We are an active, mature and responsible couple who set high standards for the care we take of a home owner’s pets and property. Occasionally we travel and housesit as a family with our student daughter, Julia. References also available from other house sitting sites. Non-smokers.

Janet, Larry Are amazing house sitters. they looked after our dogs as if they were their own. Our cat , who is normally very shy was happy to mix with them. They sent us almost daily updates on the animals and the house, which was reassuring. Larry left us some lovely homemade soup for our return. Anyone who invites these lovely people to look after their animals and property ,will not be disappointed. We have already invited Janet and Larry back if they visit Europe again. lovely ,lovely people.
