About us
We are originally from the US but lived from 2018 to September 2020 in Costa Rica.
My husband's family is from Italy and we moved to Italy in September 2020 to be closer to his father in case anything were to happen to him. We are both very fit and active, able bodied and can care for homes and pets while owners are away. We love being outdoors, nonsmokers, with no pets or children of our own. We can move about quickly without having to rearrange schedules.
Why we want to house sit
We would love to spend some time in different areas to get the experience of day to day life and meet others. We find it is completely different to stay somewhere having an authentic experience than passing through. We plan to take advantage of our 13+ years in home renovation and building to help alert owners of anything amiss while they are away. Also our experience dealing with pets in health and advanced age. I have had dogs and cats growing up. Frank and I had 2 cats needing a lot of medical care using traditional and homeopathic remedies, special homemade diets and supplements that were so loved by us for over a decade.
Experience
We have many years as homeowners (25+) and built our own home (now sold) and homes for others. We have a reference below on a housesit and dog sit in Costa Rica, taking care of their dog while they visit the US. I also have cared for my sisters home and Golden Doodle while she travels. What we bring to the assignment
Homeowners for 25+ years, in home constructions and renovation for 13+ years, able to travel freely, no children or pets at home, computer and tech savvy, had 53 acres of organic land and kept a 1 acre organic garden for 20 years, fluent English (Debra and Frank), Italian (Frank and some Debra), Spanish (Frank and some Debra)

Un grand merci à Debra et Frank pour la garde qu'ils ont assurée pendant 3 mois auprès de mes 3 chats. Debra a une grande expérience des chats et sait comment en prendre soin, elle s'est montrée particulièrement concernée par Rebelle, la petite abyssine atteinte d'une maladie auto-immune. Elle a scrupuleusement veillé à ce qu'elle prenne bien son médicament chaque jour, elle a trouvé des solutions dans les moments difficiles qui se sont présentés. Elle a consulté le vétérinaire et m'a tenue au courant très fidèlement, avec des messages, des photos, des vidéos. Mes chats ont été traités avec autant d'amour et d'attention que si j'avais été là et je lui en suis infiniment reconnaissante.
