When I lived in London, I volunteered at the Surrey Docks Farm by providing assistance to the livestock manager with all aspects of animal care. I also volunterred for a cat shelter in Iceland, feeding rescue cats and cleaning their cages. In the past, I've had a couple of lovely cats, but since Maxime and I moved to Lisbon from Iceland, we've been happy just helping friends with their pets. Recently we cat-sat for a friend in London for over a week, and in August we're going to the Azores to dog-sit for a family for 10 days. Maxime's mother breeds Yorkshire Terriers, so he grew-up surrounded by lots of dogs. Maxime also spent his summers in Iceland at his uncle's farm, taking care of all sorts of animals. We're very respectful of other people's homes and we'll make sure your place is kept safe and in the condition that you've left. For pet-sitting requests in Portugal and some cities in Spain, we have our own car. We can also work remotely within Portugal, so we're flexible with dates.
