Ils ont des besoins simples et adorent observer de la fenêtre. La chambre de ma fille n'est pas autorisée. Il faut faire attention à Loupiot qui a tendance à vouloir visiter la cage d'escalier de l'immeuble,

Beaucoup de verdure dans Paris!. C'est un quartier populaire et calme mais dont les habitants ont beaucoup d'initiatives. Le quartier de Gambetta ou Saint Fargeau très animé sont tout proche. Pour info il y a une zone militaire des services secrets à côté ce qui n'empêche pas l'endroit d'être très vivant. Le magnifique petit quartier de la campagne à Paris est à deux pas.

Le 20ème arrondissement est l'un des plus populaires de la capitale. Globalement, l'ensemble contribue à créer un arrondissement animé, vivant, populaire et sympathique. Il se caractérise en particulier par un très grand nombre de théâtres et de cafés-théâtres. L’attraction touristique principale de l’arrondissement est le Cimetière du Père Lachaise, toutefois cet arrondissement fait plutôt partie de ceux dans lesquels on choisit de vivre ou d'y passer une soirée entre amis plutôt que de le visiter avec sac à dos, casquette et appareil.

I had a wonderful stay at Olivia's place and loved to take care of her cats. Both cats are extremely cute and adorable, the male cat became my friend immediately, the female cat took her time (she was shy in the beginning) but after a few days, she gained confidence and then became my cuddly friend too. So, very quickly the cats et moi became a really nice family. Olivia's flat is lovely and has everything you need. Since I had time to explore the area, I came to love it. It's the real Paris, cute restaurants, super nice little quarters to enjoy - the Tram is two minutes away, the metro just a short walk. There is a green little park outside where elderly people play pétanque. Adorable. Long story short: I have a great time and just loved it!

Olivia is a delightful host, kind and welcoming. We had a rather rushed handover but everything went very smoothly, and we stayed in frequent contact while she and her adorable daughter spent the summer holidays at her family home in Loire. The cats are good company and easy to care for - Loupiot playful and friendly, a fearless explorer (of window ledges and the stairwell if he gets half a chance;), Luciole more timid and nervous around strangers at first, but once she gets used to you she is quietly affectionate. The apartment is cozy, good for one person, nicely furnished and in a pleasant neighbourhood. BTW, for non-francophone sitters this is a great option as Olivia speaks perfect English! Thank you for everything dear Olivia, hope I can come back again some day:)

Olivia is a perfect example of the benefits of house-sitting; she loves her country and city and really wants to have others take delight and grow from the experience of being 'here'. She welcomed me with open arms and continued to be an astonishing hostess after her taking leave, periodically checking in, offering suggestions and helping. She has a subscription with organic vegetables to be picked up each Thursday - so much beautiful food I wound up making ratatouille and gazpacho and freezing it for her use! Felt much more like a reunion of old friends than a house-sit and that is really what 'this' should be about. J'adore Olivia, wonderful experience.
