Area manager
We are a couple looking to stretch our wings and see more of Europe! I am early forties, a former area manager in hospitality with a background of running pubs and hotels, my husband is in his fifties, and was a plumber and gas heating engineer, but he can turn his hand to most DIY projects and as a former mechanic, he's pretty good with engines too. We have now semi retired, spending the winter in the Alps running a chalet, and travelling in the summer.
We have experience as landlords and tenants in caring for property, and I caretake a friend's bistro when she goes away.
Until recently we had a gorgeous German Shepherd - we love dogs, and I have some experience with horses too.
We always kept a large garden and grew our own veg too.
In our spare time, we like to run, ski, cycle or play in the kayak. We're also fans of Moto GP and try to go to a meeting every year.
We love meeting new people and exploring new places, and our first experiences as a house sitter really worked out well for us and them!

I felt completely relaxed with Rick and Shay in my house, knowing that they are completely responsible and capable of dealing with whatever might come up! My slightly chubby dogs were even a bit more fit after a week with long walks and exercise. We spend a couple of nice dinners together, talking about life and life choices. Nice, independent, and responsible people - highly recommended!

Shay and rick were fantastic house sitters who go that extra mile in looking after your animals and gardens. We were away in Italy Shay kept us informed on a regular basis which was a great comfort to us. On our return we could not believe how well they had done in looking after our animals and garden We would highly recommend them for your house sits.

Nous avons une première expérience très positive du home sitting avec Shay et Rick. Notre chien et notre chat ont été très bien gardés. Buzz à fait de longues ballades et belles sorties. Nous avons régulièrement reçu des messages et photos, lors de leurs nombreuses activités avec nos animaux. La maison était en parfait état à notre retour. Nous avons passé une très agréable soirée en leur compagnie et ce sont des gens avec qui nous resterons en contact avec plaisir. Nous les remercions pour cet échange et les recommandons vivement.
