I have retired from full time work but still do a low level of consulting. This enables me to take more time to travel. Sometimes I am joined by one of the family, sometimes not.
As an owner of a house I know what it takes to look after someone else’s home and garden and we have owned several family pets over time. Now it is just two rabbits and a bird, but previously we have had cats and a dog. All our pets have been treated as members of the family with equal voting rights
Being from New Zealand I have spent time in the countryside and I have experience managing farm animals. I have also looked after some very large animals such as tigers and elephants and I studied zoology at university (as well as economics).
In addition to English, I speak French and also a little Maori in case your pets prefer something different.
Our family has travelled extensively over many years and so we have friends in many countries, particularly France and England. I am in good health and enjoy many sports and outdoor interests such as running, mountain-climbing and biking. I would describe myself as relaxed, with a sense of humour.
House-sitting appeals because it provides an opportunity to get to know people, and a specific place, more intimately. Several friendships with people in other countries have started through chance meetings and have endured over many years. Maybe this will be another one.

David est un home-sitter adorable et de confiance. Il était très respectueux de notre espace, attentif, investi dans la relation pour établir la confiance necessaire à "sauter le pas". Lui et sa fille ont été très à l'écoute et aux petits soins pour notre amie chat Minoutte et cela nous a soulagé d'un grand poids et sécurisé car nous avions là des hôtes de confiance, respectueux et attentifs. Je recommande David et Amelia à 200%% !!
