INTRODUCTION
Hello and nice to meet you!
I am Jordi (38) from Spain.
I normally live and work in Barcelona. However, I am an Environmental Engineer who can work remotely, so my schedule can be quite flexible (and no work in summer!).

I have 16 different house/pet sitting experiences in another housesitting community (I'll send proof under request)

I consider my-self to be open-minded, mature and curious, interested in nature, outdoor activities, hiking, long walks in the mountains, sustainable living, gardening, permaculture, cultural activities, quality cinema, documentaries, cooking, healthy food, healthy lifestyle... and many many other things.
I am non-smoker and of course animal lover. I am respectful & quiet, I prefer a good night’s sleep to parties/going out.
I love travelling and exploring new places, meeting new people, sharing stories and gaining new experiences. So far I have travelled quite a lot using couchsurfing and workaway. (Profiles and references available in case you are interested)
I am always eager to learn new things, acquire new skills and make new (human or pet) friends.
In a few words I would describe myself as reliable, emphatic, tolerant, humble, honest and active.

WHY I WANT TO HOUSESIT
My first housesit was such a great experience overall that I would like to have a loooot more of it. I took care of the property and the dogs of a Canadian lady in Ecuador for 4 months (December 2014 - March 2015).
Then in the summers of 2015 to 2019 I found some more great opportunities in France,Spain and Switzerland. I had a great time, the pets&houses were cared for, the owners were content... easy, isn't it? Now I could say that I got hooked on housesitting ;)
So I continue the search for more...

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Animals:
I used to have dogs and cats while I was a kid (& teenager), so I am used to having them around and taking care of them.
Regarding the previously mentioned house sitting experience in Ecuador: I took care of 2 big dogs, I cooked for them, fed them, bought their meat every week at the market, took them for long walks every day, gave them their due pills, took them to the vet when it was necessary... etc. They were really sociable, and needed a lot of attention. I grew to like them so much, in the end it was really difficult to leave.
House & property:
I own a flat in Barcelona center, so I have an understanding of the value that an owner has in their house/flat/property.
