We have a littleDog Papillon (3kg) and 10 breeding bengal cats, 9 females and one male. To that come about 10 kittens, up to 12 weeks, depending on season. We do not earn money with our cats, the expenses for food and veterinary and other equal approximatively our income from selling the kittens. We breed the bengal cat to improve the breed and to enjoy the pleasures of raising kittens and placing them in the best families. From house-sitters we expect that he/she takes good care of the cats and kittens and that the house is clean at our return. Of course there is more feeding cleaning and cuddling than with one cat but the work can be done in 2 hour a day if one is well organised. People who prefer to work slowly may need longer - its up to you. We are not always gone travelling - we may stay for three days first to explain everything, than leave for one week or two and then we may live together in the house for the rest of your stay.

Beautiful countryside, woods and fields and lakes, mountain view, 20 km to the mountains. Shops and doctors in the village of Bäretswil, big shopping centers in Wetzikon 5 km away, Bus stop 10 minutes, Zürich by train 30 km. We can sit and eat in the garden, quiet and sunny. You have your own room 15 square meters with a double bed, two desks, a wardrobe, mirror, two night tables. On the same floor is the toilet with sink and another room with the shower which you share with one other person. From your room you have access to the garden - nice view of the village and the surrounding hills and mountains, quiet and sunny, lawn with easy chairs.

J'ai séjourné 3 semaines chez Jana, éleveuse de Bengals. Chaque matin fut riche du plaisir de m'occuper de ses chats et chatons, d'une même race mais différents tant par leur physique que par leur caractère. J'ai adoré soigner les chatons timides au début du séjour parce qu'il ne me connaissait pas, mais à la fin aventureux et téméraire pour certains. La chambre est très confortable et le paysage ressemble à une carte postale. Même si au début, j'ai été surprise que la proposition séjour de Jana ne soit pas dans le concept pur de Nomador, garde d'animaux pendant l'absence des maîtres, j'ai apprécié les discussions en français avec Jana et Stefan son locataire. J'y retournerai vraiment avec un plaisir passer plusieurs semaines

Jana C is a very intelligent educated capable lady that knows what she wants regarding the business of running her cattery and house extremely well. Her knowledge about the Bengal cats and kittens is excellent. Jana has won many awards at cat shows for a good reason.

Thank you for your message. In fact I was unable to fulfil the arrangement from 3rd July 2020 because of the chaos that has been caused to the airline industry by lockdown and the flight with Swiss air was cancelled. I booked another flight for the 14th July and this is when I arrived in Switzerland and commenced house sitting. I am pleased to be working here looking after the many cats and I have learned new aspects of cattery work and learned the job well from the explicit and comprehensive instructions from Jan, my host. Precise instructions, discipline and method is very important as it makes learning how to do the work properly. This is so in keeping with Switzerland as a whole of doing things well.. Switzerland that is a clean, well-organised and prosperous country and simply the best out of the countries I have been to in Europe. I am happy here and look forward to the next few weeks after which sadly I will have to return home in Spain. For anybody that is interested in learning from the host who is well experience in the field of breeding cats (Bengal) and going the extra miles to do the job well then this is the door open to Switzerland and a better way of life. Therefore I should NOT recommend this host, as I would rather come back here again myself, but if you are lucky enough to be chosen then the best of luck and do the work well because one thing that I can assure you is that I WIIL!
